Tom Kennedy

Lieutenant Colonel (ret.) Kennedy was the Deputy Superintendent and second in command of the Massachusetts State Police culminating a thirty year career.

Mr. Thomas J. Kennedy is the Chief Executive Office of CTC and has been instrumental in focusing the company on providing services in public safety and law enforcement. 

Mr. Kennedy joined CTC in 1998 as Director of the Public Safety Technology Center.  In that position, he has assembled a staff of highly qualified people with strong public safety backgrounds.  His background in Law Enforcement Operations makes him uniquely qualified to lead this major new CTC initiative to bring cutting-edge technology to this unique arena. 

Prior to joining CTC, Lieutenant Colonel (ret.) Kennedy was the Deputy Superintendent and second in command of the Massachusetts State Police culminating a thirty year career. Prior to being promoted to the command staff of the State Police, Tom was in charge of the Research and Development Unit for eight years providing for the development of innovative highway safety programs that had an impact and provided for a reduction of the number and type of crashes on the state highways. In addition Tom led an effort for the improvements at the State Police Training Academy, developed a new a state-of-the-art crime lab, provided for a revision of the state police crime scene investigation program, led the community policing initiatives, developed new communications systems and regional dispatch centers, traffic safety and intelligent traffic system programs.  Mr. Kennedy also acted as a special assistant to the Secretary of Public Safety while the commander of the Research and Development Unit.

Mr. Kennedy earned a B.S. from Northeastern University, a M.A. in Criminal Studies from The American International College, and a MBA from Anna Maria College.  He was also an Adjunct Professor of the Criminal Justice Program at Anna Maria College for ten years.
